Teaching and Learning
At Hawley Primary School we aim to raise achievement for all learners and develop children who are ready for the world beyond- ‘LEARNING FOR LIFE’. The school community collaborated to create this statement which sets out what we want for all the children attending Hawley Primary School:
Children enter school at different stages of development and learn in different ways and at different rates of progress. In the course of learning children develop their skills through a variety of processes. Our highly skilled teachers respond to each individual's needs providing a high quality, interactive and creative education.
At Hawley Primary School opportunities are provided to enable children to solve problems, make informed choices and learn collaboratively with their peers. They are encouraged to reason and explain their thought processes, engaging in debate and compromise.
Below you will find Hawley Primary School's curriculum statement and long term overview that details the vision for our children's learning.
