School Dinners
Our school meals are cooked on site at Hawley Primary by Hampshire County Council Education Catering (formerly HC3S) who provides meals in the majority of primary schools in Hampshire as well as some in Dorset and Wiltshire currently at a cost of £3.20 per day. Please note that as part of the Universal Free School Meal Initiative, school meals are free for all children in EYFS and KS1.
At Hawley Primary School school dinners have to be chosen for a full week, not on a daily basis - it is not possible to have a mixture of school dinners and packed lunches during the week due to the admin and ordering involved. One week’s notice is required should your child wish to change from packed lunches to school dinners or vice versa. Payments need to be made, either weekly or termly in advance, via Scopay (our online payment system) by cash or cheque (payable to Hampshire County Council) on a Monday morning. Please hand the payment to your class teacher in a named and sealed envelope.
CHILDREN WITH ALLERGIES OR INTOLERANCES
Does your child need a special medical diet to eat lunch at school?
If so, you need to create an account to register your child for a special medical diet.
Once you have created your account, we will be able to review your medical evidence with our NHS dietician in order to devise an adapted menu for your child's school lunch.
Living with allergies comes with its own set of rules, so when it comes to food, as education caterers, we want to make this as easy as possible for you as a family. Our staff are trained in food safety and regularly update their skills on allergens. We never underestimate the dangers of food allergies and intolerances and that's why we work hard to get it right.
