Visit to the Magistrates Court
Last week, some of the School Council and House Captains took the opportunity to visit a real, working courtroom, to bring the law to life. We learnt about citizenship, the law and their rights and responsibilities. The children took part in a trial, taking on all the courtroom roles, they reached a verdict and explored sentencing options. By exploring an actual contemporary case of cyber-bullying, we gained knowledge of the justice system and developed key skills such as public speaking, analysis and questioning. This immersive experience was a fabulous opportunity for all.
